It was March of their Freshman year, and their relationship could not have been stronger. Madison and Rob had become "that" couple on campus. They always hung out together, and their friend groups were intertwined. They grew the envy of many of their other peers, because they were both very good looking, possibly some of the hottest people on campus. When many of their friends rushed sororities and fraternities, Madison and Rob held off, figuring that they could always do that later, but they were caught up in each other's love, and they did not want to shake that feeling. Was it pure college infatuation? Yes. But was it deep, very much so.
Both of them had maintained very good grades throughout the first semester. When the Holidays rolled around, they faced challenge-- do they take them to meet each other's parents? And if yes, whose do they see? Both were very attached to their families, so they compromised, spending a bit of time at Rob's parents, who lived about an hour away, and then flying down to see Madison's family. Madison's family loved Rob. Alex secretly had a crush on him, and Madison's Dad hit it off with her boyfriend right away. Madison's Mom constantly dropped hints about how they needed to stick together, and how she should not screw things up. With that, Madison felt like she had outside confirmation that she should stick with Rob, almost no matter what.
As the second semester started, Madison and Rob continued the cycle of hanging out with a shared group of friends, including Cassi, on weekends, and hanging out with each other on weekdays. Often just studying in each other's presence, or watching a movie together, the two were inseparable, and each truely felt that they were in love.
