Working on it, accidentally drops it, hits himself

John is really intrigued by what the device could do, and wants to work in it so it's easier to restore people. Gina is a Barbie doll and if something happened and he could not restore her, he would be racked with guilt. So he's working on it, trying to create a remote restore function, where he could turn her back from anywhere. But as he is working on it, he drops it, and when it hits the ground, it zaps him, transforming him into:
