Eyeing him cautiously, the mechanic grabbed a saw from his toolbox. "This should do it, love," he assured Cameron.
When the saw started up, the squeal of the blade set Cameron's teeth on edge. "You will be careful, won't you?" he said, in his most feminine, high pitched voice.
"Don't you worry, love. We'll soon get you out of these shoes. How did they get stuck, anyway?"
Cameron swallowed and thought hard about how to answer that. Sweat beaded his top lip. "Oh, I, ugh. I think they're just too small for my fe--"
"What on earth?" The mechanic interrupted Cameron's ramble. "What kind of shoes are these?"
Cameron peered at his feet. "What do you mean?"
The mechanic took a step back, shaking his head. "They won't come off. I sawed right through the straps, but they just fastened themselves back up again."
Cameron's eyes widened. What had he done? "How do I get them off me, then?"
