The small village of Knotts was of little note to most of the surrounding area; Knotts was a simple farming and mining village that supplied towns and fellow villages within the county. At least, up until the past few months.
Many women, young and old, were pregnant and successfully delivering their children. At first, it seemed like a divine blessing, having so many new families who would pass on their parents' legacies. Later down the line however, the numbers of new mothers were growing more and more, with the chances of twins and triplets becoming more frequent. Many believed it still the work of God, but the vast majority were calling witchcraft and wizardry. It was time someone investigated.
Dorothy Whitaker, 24, mother of 1 son, decided to take matters into her own hands. As one of the earliest cases of the magical pregnancy gift, she went to ask around the locals about what they think or have heard.
