The Green girl looked up
"My Name is Vera Li" she said with a bit of disdain
"Well, you look different?" Axel said a bit confused looking it the girl, she wore a suit similar to his, her light green skin complemented by her braided hair,her tail hanging behind her. Vera pouted as Axel noticed the huge sword on her back
"You act like you've never seen a Litian before" Vera crossed her arm as Axel shrugged
"I Haven't, I'm from Earth Prime, I've never seen an alien before today" Axel explained
"Just know I'm superior to you and we'll get along fine in my squad" Vera explained
"Your squad?" Axel asked as Vera glared at him
"Yes earthling, My squad; I'll escort you to the barracks" Vera said walking away as she turned around
"Hurry up Rookie" Vera stated as Axel shrugged following her
"So Vera, You mind telling me about yourself" Axel asked as she looked at him
"What do you want to know?" Vera asked bitter to Axel as he turned away
"Just basic stuff, I Just got out of Cyrosleep" Axel replied
"That's a personal problem" Vera said escorting Axel to door with an 1 carved on it as Vera opened it revealing what resembled a apartment
"Vera" A rock creature said sitting in a sofa reading a digital tablet
"Grif, this is Alex, the rookie, Alex this is Grif Stonebiter, my squad-mate" Vera said as Grif reached in a bowl of gravel grabbing a handful putting it in his mouth chewing
"What is he?" Axel asked
"Grif is a Graniteion, their a species of miners, they eats rocks and often worked in construction" Vera explained
"And I see you met Vera" Grif said shoveling another handful of gravel in his mouth
"I'm going to the Mess Hall, you two get acquainted, Grif make sure the Human doesn't touch any of my things" Vera said walking off
"Yes Vera" Grif said as the girl left. Grif scooted over on the sofa
"Sit down Axel" Grif asked as Axel did so
"I'd like to apologize for Vera, she can a bit brash, but she's alright once you get to know her" Grif said
"I Guess being Leader is a hard job" Axel stated
"Vera is not really our leader, we have not been assigned a squad leader but Vera sort of promoted herself unofficial leader
"So tell me about Vera" Axel requested
"Well she's a Litian, they're a fierce group of warriors from a planet where female are the dominant gender, she's also one of the top fighters here" Grif said shoveling a handful a gravel as he handed to bowl to Axel as he held his hand up
"No thanks" He replied as Grif stood up, I'll show you your bed" Grif said escorting Axel to a hallway with three doors, two with plaques with Vera and Grif's name the third blank.
"We did research it should simulate the environment of an earth room" Grif said as Axel looked, It looked like a bedroom, decorated in a mix of 60's, 70's and 80's culture
"It's pretty cool" Axel responded
"Welcome to the team, I'm gonna get some sparing in the training room, catch you later" Grif said leaving
