This choice: Direct approach; He needs to be dealt with. • Go Back... As much as she didn't want this guy to see her in this state, Samus couldn't help but feel frustrated with his care-free attitude. Strange or not, the technology on this ship could be sensitive. So, without really thinking, she left her hiding spot and approached him.
The janitor heard the footsteps behind him and turned to see who was there. When he did, his jaw dropped at the sight of Samus and her huge rear. For a brief moment, his eyes were glued to her butt, but then he looked at her face. And she was quite peeved.
"You!" Samus yelled. "How can you be so calm about someone messing around with potentially dangerous technology? They could get killed!"
The janitor stared at her for a minute. Then, he sighed and looked at her.
"Lady, I'm a janitor. It's not my job to deal with all these upgrades. I just clean the place. Besides, you're one to talk. You're the one with the Pear chip installed. No one gets an ass like that naturally." He said.
Samus's anger cooled down a fair bit. "Fine." She said. "I'm Samus Aran."
"The famous bounty hunter?" The janitor said. Then he grinned. "Oh, sweet! I've heard of all your adventures. Huge fan. Name's Silas. Sanitation engineer, repairman and upgrade and chip expert."
Samus raised an eyebrow. "How can you be an upgrade and chip expert if you're a janitor?" She asked.
"Miss Aran, do you have any idea how important and huge this station is? Not everyone can be on it at once, so most of us pull double duty working with the upgrades. Even a lowly janitor like me has to be taught how they work." Silas replied.
"I see," Samus said. She then gestured to her inflated butt. "So can you explain this?"
"Well, I assume the computer told you what it does. Or at least, what it's supposed to do. It was meant to make a pear-shaped barrier around the user. Meant for dangers that target the legs." Silas said. "But it was buggy. R&D found out that it actually inflates the users... erm... butt, and is almost impossible to remove. Thankfully, it got shelved before anyone could use it."
"Well, I found and used it," Samus replied, annoyed. "Look at me. I can't go on missions like this. I look like a freak!"
"Well, that's not all," Silas said. "When I said it's buggy, I meant it. You see..."  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
