The long, scaly reptile is curled up, head hidden behind its own coiled body.

As long as it stays like this, you'll just assume that it's asleep.

You sneak up to the unaware snake, eager to explore it's now enormous body, but where do you start?

You could go to its head, check out its mouth and more, but you could also go lower, really get to know the slumbering serpent.
