She complied without hesitation. You clipped a silver bracelet onto her wrist. It had a small charm attached to it with the letter L on it.
"It's a talisman of Lethe. It will help you forget your worries." you told her
She smiled, nodded and thanked you before retreating into the powder room and closing the door to prepare for her bath. She never noticed that the latch on the bracelet had disappeared, rendering her unable to remove it.
What you hadn't told her was that it would make her feel forgetful, so you could convince her of things more easily. You would be able to overwrite any aspect of her personality or memories that you chose to. It needed the wearer to be in a deep state of relaxation to take effect, but fortunately, this wearer was about to take a nice, hot bath. Once you heard the bathroom door close, and heard her slip into the bath, you entered the powder room quietly. You observed the clothes laying on the floor and pulled out your wand.
