"Hello everyone, and welcome to the first organised worship of our Lord and God, as well as his family," Cressidia said. "We will start by singing a hymn," Suddenly, music began to play from out of no-where, and everyone's minds were filled with knowledge of the song.
"Oh Barry, our Lord and God..." they all began singing.
"That was lovely, I'm sure God is very pleased," Cressidia said. She pulled out a book, and held it up. "This, people of the world, is your new bible. It tells the story of the life of our Lord Barry and his family. We will now-" Suddenly there was a bright light, and the sounds of heavenly choirs filled the hall. When they cleared, a huge throne had appeared at the front next to Cressidia, with Barry seated on top of it. 3 more smaller thrones also appeared, with Samantha, Becky and Laura sat on them. They were all dressed in robes of pure white, but which looked more impressive than anything else ever created.
"Lord!" Cressidia exclaimed in surprise, as she got on her knees before them, with everyone else doing the same. "To what do we owe this incredible honour?"
"We saw that you were about to read from the Barry Bible, so we thought we'd come and listen," Barry told everyone. "You may rise."
"Thank you Lord," Cressidia said.
"You bastard!" Someone shouted out from the crowd.
"Giles Baxter," Barry said as he turned to face the man who'd shouted it out. He stood up, and started to walk towards him, the crowd moving out of his way in silent fear of what Barry might do.
"Why should we worship you!?" Giles continued. "You've done nothing to earn it! You say you're God, but God wouldn't make a big palace for himself and force everyone to worship him, when there are millions of people suffering in the world!" Barry got to Giles, and he could sense the fear in those around him. He looked down, and saw a small boy hiding behind Giles' leg, whom Barry instantly knew was his son Jacob. Barry reached down and picked the boy up.
"Please don't hurt him!" A nearby woman begged, whom Barry knew was Giles' wife Cindy, and Jacob's mother. Barry simply ignored her and turned back to Giles.
"You have a problem with what I do?" Barry asked.
"Damn right I do!" Giles replied. "Who gave you the right to treat us this way!?"
"The previous God, who got his authority from the God before him, going all the way back to the original God. God created this universe, so he can do what he likes to it and its inhabitants. Your son is trembling in fear at the moment, and he's right to be. If I wanted, I could send every single person here straight to hell, but I won't, because they've not displeased me. You, on the other hand, have." Just then, Giles began floating into the air, while a portal to hell opened beneath him.
"Cindy," Barry said to Giles' wife. "Tell me, why shouldn't I send your husband to hell?"
"Please God sir, he's not a bad man," Cindy replied, practically in tears. "He just wants to help people, which is why he was so mad that you weren't helping people with your powers."
"What I do with my powers is my business, hence why they're MY powers," Barry said. "Jacob, do you like your daddy?"
"Yes sir," Jacob nodded.
"Is he a good daddy?"
"Yes sir. He always takes me to the park."
"And Giles, do you repent your sins?" Barry asked him.
"Yes! Just please don't send me to hell!" Giles begged him.
"And girls," Barry said, turning to face his family. "What do you think I should do?"
"Send him to hell daddy!" Becky shouted.
"Please no!" Cindy begged.
"What about you Samantha?" Barry asked his wife.
"I think you should show mercy Barry," Samantha replied. "He seems genuinely sorry."
Barry turned back to Cindy, and handed Jacob to her. She held him tightly, and he cuddled her, not wanting to be apart from her again.
"I have made my decision," Barry said. The portal to hell vanished, and Giles fell to the floor roughly. "I shall not send you to hell, however you will still be punished. From now on, you can no longer feel sexual pleasure. Instead, it will only be pain. Also, I condem you to be 100 physically." Suddenly, Giles' body tranformed to be much, much older. "You will still live a normal lifespan, but will be cursed to live in this body."
Barry then turned to walk back to his throne, speaking as he did.
"I have made another decision," he announced. "I will be using my powers to help people, but ONLY the people I decide to help. Anyone who asks for help with be immediately blacklisted from ever getting my help, so don't bother." Barry sat back on his throne. "Now then, I believe you were about to read from the Barry Bible."
