The rabbit shaman drew a short staff from her tattered coat and began chanting. The staff was of dark rosewood and carved with intricate runes- runes which, William noticed, were beginning to glow with an eerie light. The shaman planted both of her feet apart and her chanting grew louder. She let go of the staff as it began to float in the air in front of her and the tall grasses in the field whipped about as if buffeted by a strong wind.
William hesitated, momentarily forgetting his place in this situation as he was in awe of witnessing magic for the first time. This cost him.
With a loud -!-CRACKOOM-!- a bolt of pink light shot from the staff and hit William dead center, knocking him off his feet and backwards into a small ditch. The fox landed solidly on his back. Despite the pain, he couldn't help but notice the slight wobble to his recently chubbed up belly. Having the wind knocked out of him he gasped and tried to right himself, but found it more difficult than usual with the added weight. Weight which- his ears flattened as he observed- was still climbing, fat spreading out his stomach and elsewhere as his increasingly tightened clothes were indicating.
"M-Maybe it was a clothes shrinking spell?" He muttered with delusional optimism as he stood up in a low crouch. His position in the ditch kept him out of line of sight for the shaman's magic, or at least William hoped it did. But what was he going to do now?
