Hope Foural, was crying when she put down the phone. Her prayers were answered. She ran to tell her Grandmother, Candie.

"Granny! Granny! I just got a call from the exchange center. They just convicted a 44 year old guy, they need a T-5. They want you!"

Candie Foural, looked up from her wheelchair. The last few years had been very hard on her. She had always been a very independent person. Most people like her were in the old folks home, waiting to die. 2 years ago her granddaughter Hope, stopped working full time. Hope wanted to repay her Grandmother, for taking her in after her parents died. Now Hope's day consisted of changing diapers, giving shots, and making the special meals, the old woman required. Almost 8 months ago, Candie was told she only had 6 months to live. If not for the morphine drip, Candie would have been driven insane, from the pain of her cancer.

Candie could only speak in a whisper, "Hope, we can't afford an exchange. I refuse to have you go broke on my behalf."

"Granny, they are willing to make a deal. If you are willing to go back to teaching at the university, for another 15 years, and I go back to work full time at the lab, the city will cover the costs from what they have conficated from the criminal. You've got to do it. I can't imagine life without you," begged Hope.

"Then get me in a fresh diaper, and we will go."
