A Blessing and a Curse: This one's pretty obvious. The two are a young couple, but somehow the guy ends up cursed to get fatter, while the girl is blessed to get stronger.
A Balance Scale: Now the couple finds themselves in a rather interesting situation, where the actions of one have a definite impact upon the other. As the guy gets fatter, the girl gets stronger, and vice versa. And anytime the guy exercises, it's the girl that gets stronger, and she also gets strong when he eats. On the other hand, the guy gets fatter when ever the girl exercises or eats.
Altering Reality (Controlled): Here the couple finds a very interesting spell. The spell will alter reality each time it is used, making men naturally fatter while making women bigger and more muscular, and alters everyone's memory, except for the caster or anyone who is aware of the spell's existence. However, the couple finds that while the spell can be cast as many times as you want, there is no way to undo the spell and they can only go farther.
Altering Reality (Slippery Slope): Like the one above, you've again got a spell that alters reality, making men heavier and women stronger, and everyone besides the two main characters (or even just one them) thinks everything is normal and has always been this way. Once again, the spell cannot be undone, but now it is only cast once. After that it works in spurts, everything is normal for a while, then at a random time, everyone has a short burst of growth.
