"Sound like fun, what movie did you have in mind?" Sam asked.
"Not really anything in particular actually. You always some how seem to know what movie is going to be a blockbuster and which one is going to be a flop, so why don't you pick?" It was true, Sam was a bit of a movie aficionado.
Sam giggled at the complement. "Well, I don't feel good about it but, I really want to see this one scary movie, and I've been to scarred to go see it on my own so I was hoping you could take me!"
"Okay, not really good with the scary stuff ether, but if me being there will make you feel better then okay." Sam smiled.
Rex saw that the intruder was going to take his master and stopped chewing on his treat and ran toward the door, slamming into it after Sam had shut it.
*THUD!* Chase jumped with surprise. "Maybe we should start meeting at my place, you know so I don't get mauled!"
Sam grabbed his hand a squeezed it. "Oh come on you big baby, are you really afraid of a little puppy?"
"Uh incase you haven't noticed that "puppy" is a giant dog the size of a tiny horse!" Chase joked.
Sam laughed. "Maybe picking you to go to a scary move with was a bad idea."
Chase took Sam out to his car and he drove her to the theater they normally went to.
When they got there Chase got the tickets for the movie, while Sam looked at the movie posters on the walls. Once he did Sam wanted to refund him for paying for her ticket, but he said it was his treat and wouldn't take her money, he also insisted on paying for the drinks, popcorn and snacks as well. He got a extra large tub of popcorn to share, he got Sam a cherry slushy and a root beer for himself. He let her pick out what ever kind of candy she wanted, which was just a bag of gummy bears, and he got his favorite "candy", raisins coated in chocolate.
Soon after they sat down the previews started. While Chase was busy checking some things on his phone before switching it off, Sam was watching the trailers very closely, hoping to see one for a sequel to one of he favorites.
As the movie went on it only seemed to get more and more terrifying and Sam was beginning to regret her choice.
"Don't go in there don't go in there don't go-AHH," Sam screamed and buried her head in Chases chest. She wrapped her arms around him and squeezed tight. "Tel me wen tis prts ovr!" Sam said, her voice being muffled by Chases shirt.
"I will." Chase patted her on the head and looked at the screen, almost vomiting at the gruesome sight on the screen.
When the movie was over they both left the theater but Sam was still holding onto chase tightly.
"I don't think I'm going to sleep for a very long time!" Sam said.
"Don't worry, I'll help get it off of your mind," Chase replied comfortingly. "After we have dinner I'll come home with you and we can watch tv until you feel better, and if you don't by the time you start to fall asleep I'll stay the night to make sure you're safe!"
"You're not scared?" Asked Sam.
"No the movie wasn't that utterly terrifying!" Replied Chase.
"I was talking about Rex!" Same joked.
"Haha, keep making jokes and I'll leave you here for that Thing to get you!"
"Okay okay, I'll stop, just don't leave me!"
"Man you are really scared, alright how about we...
