Finchenza was paying for her Bacardi and Coke and chatting to Beth the barmaid, her head nodding in time to "Mr. Ironic" by Print Beating. Her gaze dropped to the miniature bar near her elbow and the little people picking themselves up after dodging the glass as Beth slammed it down. She'd been a regular at The Snail for years and was well used to the tiny people. They were quite good fun when you got to know them and she had always been careful not to squash any. (Actually she had stepped on a few over the years when she was very drunk but hadn't noticed!)
Most of the little people were just drinking and talking amongst themselves, while as always a few newcomers stared up in awe at her and a few others were staring up at her breasts. She always found that sort of funny. She paid for her drink. Beth chatted away. She was leaving to move to a new town and job and this was her last night.
"Be sad to see you go," Finchenza said and then raised her glass, "Good luck though. What are you drink.... Are you drinking?"
"Hell yes. I'm gone after today, so who cares? Are you b..."
