In Dr. Eggman's base, a peculiar signal went off on his screen, alerting the doctor to its presence. "Wha? This signal is..." Before he could finish his sentence, a pop-up text appeared on the screen reading "Emerald Found. Location: Somewhere in Mobius." Eggman became confused at the sight of a new emerald. "Another emerald? But there were 7 of these precious things!"
Just then, another pop-up text appeared on the screen. "Warning: May be different from usual emerald." This was when the doctor proceeded to laugh manically like he's won the lottery. "Yes! I have you now, emerald! Soon, with this emerald, the whole world will be mine!" Eggman said proudly as he proceeded laugh manically once more and went to find the emerald along with his Badniks.
Little did the doctor know, that the Freedom Fighters were already on their way to the emerald. Once the Freedom Fighters got to the emerald, they realize that it was giving off a strange glow, as if it is hiding a power from inside. Just then, however, Eggman's fleet arrive on the scene, demanding them to give him the emerald, but they refused, so they battled it out in an all-out brawl to see who will get the emerald.
In Eggman's fleet was a certain Badnik who we like to call a Moto Bug, or as he likes to be called among his Moto Bug crew, "Bugsy" the Moto Bug. He was just as eager to get the emerald as everyone else in Eggman's fleet. First, though, he has to battle the Freedom Fighters to see who will get the emerald.
Many Mobians have fought long and hard to show Eggman who's the better fighter when it eventually came down to just Team Sonic and a handful of Eggman's Badniks, including Bugsy, who is sneaking away from Eggman to get the Emerald, because he is curious about its abilities. "Sorry, Eggman, but your reign of terror is about to be scrambled!" Sonic proclaimed to Eggman, thinking he has won the war. "Oh, we'll see about that, pesky hedgehog!" Eggman snarkily replied. Meanwhile, the Moto Bug was still slowly making his way over to the emerald, so that he doesn't get caught by either Eggman or Team Sonic.
The two sides were about to resume battling when they notice a Moto Bug just cruising along to the emerald like he's really curious. "Huh?" Tails asked confusingly. "Is that a Moto Bug making its way to the emerald?" Knuckles then said. As they watched on, Bugsy, the Moto Bug, finally made it to the bright, glowing emerald where he slowly picks it up, making sure if there is anything odd about the emerald. Suddenly, his mind begins to fill up with all kinds of information about the mysterious emerald.
As Bugsy the Moto Bug looked at the mysterious emerald, his eyes twitching as if it's gaining the knowledge of the emerald, he learned that the emerald that had previously showed up on Eggman's monitor, as well as on the monitor of the Freedom Fighters, and that he's currently holding right now, is the Ultimate Emerald. Anyone who finds this emerald will be granted the power to alter reality in any way to their liking with absolutely no limits on what reality alterations they can make with the emerald. However, there's a catch to this, as they can only make one reality alteration per hour, so if they want to revert a reality change that they don't like, they will have to wait an hour before they are able to do so. With this, Bugsy's mind slowly returns to reality as he realizes that Team Sonic is standing around him!
With Team Sonic demanding him that he gives them the emerald, Bugsy quickly thought up of a way to get away with the emerald and literally leave them in the dust. He revved up his engine and let the smoke come out, covering Team Sonic's vision as they struggle to breath in all this smoke. This allowed him to quickly vroom his way back to Eggman, who is looking quite pleased with himself and takes the emerald from him, as they headed back to their base to celebrate their victory, leaving the Freedom Fighters behind, looking all defeated and frustrated that Bugsy has managed to secure the Ultimate Emerald as they headed back to their base.
Back at Eggman's base, however, he tried his best to power up the emerald but to no avail, despite the fact that it is glowing brightly. Eggman growled at the emerald, trying to get it to power up, but it still wouldn't budge. Feeling a bit defeated, Eggman simply just threw the emerald away, as he said to himself, "Worthless stupid emerald. All this for nothing!"
Unbeknownst to the mad doctor, the emerald would land near Bugsy, and he picked it up again. "So this emerald is said to alter reality to whatever I desire once for each hour, and if I don't like it, I can just change it back?" the Moto Bug pondered to himself. "This should be fun. But is this even real, or am I just dreaming things? Granted, I'm a Botnik, but still, this might actually be real, after all." Thinking back on how he can basically alter reality to his liking once per hour with no rules or limits, he finally decided to test the emerald out, just to see if this thing really is the real deal.
"Well, it's worth a shot." Bugsy said to himself. As he hold the emerald close to his robotic body, he thought about how there never really was a female robot on Eggman's fleet, let along a female Moto Bug, and finally decided that it was time to change it. "If only I had a girlfriend that could become Eggman's first female Botnik." The Moto Bug then said as he held up the emerald in the air and was surrounded by a blinding light that covers the entirety of Eggman's base.
When the light had receded, he looked around and saw nothing out of the ordinary until he heard an engine revving noise, which actually came from a female Moto Bug! Bugsy couldn't help but blush when he saw her for the first time, or was it the umpteenth time? No, it had to be the first time, because the Emerald also made it so that he still remembers what life was like before any reality-altering changes were made.
"Hey there, sweetie. How's my little Moto Bug?" The female Moto Bug said in a lovingly voice. "My little Moto Bug? But, I don't recall you ever existing before." "Oh? I believe I have forgotten to introduce myself to you, in case you don't know who I am. I'm Siri the Moto Bug. It's so nice to finally be with you as my girlfriend!"
"Err, yeah, I guess." Bugsy replied as he blushed to himself, knowing that he is already in love with her. "What's wrong? Do you actually prefer if the robots were all male?" Siri asked. "Yeah, but the thing is, I just recently made an alteration to this reality, so I'll have to wait another hour before I can make another alteration." Bugsy replied as he tried to make another alteration with the Emerald, thinking about Ant Badniks, but it didn't work, because it hasn't been an hour, yet. "See?"
"Oh, I see." Siri said to his girlfriend. "So, what shall we do now that we're together?" "Well... Perhaps we could..."
