Moxie glanced over the edge of the building, seeing the awning far below, then turned and gave the pigeons the smugest smirk she could muster.
"Ladies, you will always remember this as the day you almost caught-" Unfortunately for Moxie, as she stepped back onto the ledge, she placed her foot right onto a rather slimy pile of pigeon poo. Instantly her foot slipped out from under her, and she screamed shrilly as she toppled off the ledge, plummeting straight towards the concrete gutter below rather than the agile drop onto the awning she had planned. Moxie's arms flailed as the hard ground rushed up to meet her, before-
SPLAT!!
The unaerodynamic rat smashed straight into the hard concrete of the smelly gutter from a twenty story drop, though thankfully since this was a video game she just flattened out cartoonishly on impact. Up above, the pigeons laughed themselves sick at the sight of the flat, weakly twitching rat, Dahlia stepping forwards and putting her hands on her hips.
"Oi, forget you didn't have wings, Moxie?" She called. "I'm really tempted to send my gang down there to bury you in pigeon shit, since you ain't going nowhere, but it looks like you've got bigger problems."
Sure enough, turning the corner at the end of the street was a massive street sweeper, probably the only form of sanitation in the entire town. It trundled along the side of the road, sucking up any garbage it came across, and it was very quickly bearing down on Moxie.
