Jamie excitedly led the way, making a beeline for Adventureland once the two of them made it past Main Street U.S.A. Upon arrival, they found that the lines for Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise were pretty long, but an attraction that was fairly available was The Magic Carpets of Aladdin.
"Alex, can we go on?" Jamie asked excitedly.
"Of course we can." Alex said, leading Jamie into the queue.
The queue passed quickly, though while they were waiting, Jamie noticed something sitting on top of one of the rails, a little statuette made up to look like the Genie's lamp from Aladdin.
"Cute touch." Alex thought to himself as he noticed Jamie rubbing it while giggling. "What'd you wish for?"
"I can't tell you, or it won't come true!" Jamie replied. She might have been 12, but she still understood the magic of Disney World, which was always a good thing.
"Of course." Alex smiled.
They soon made it to the front of the line and rode the carpets, a rather tame experience, but one tinged with nostalgia, as Alex could remember riding it when he was a kid and it being an exhilarating experience.
After getting off the ride, Alex and Jamie started to head off to see if the lines had shrank on Jungle Cruise or Pirates, but as they crossed the lane, a cast-member carrying a tray of food slammed into Alex, knocking him to the floor and covering his clothes with food and soda.
"Oh my god, I am so sorry, sir." the cast member, whose name tag proclaimed her as Mindy, exclaimed.
"It's fine." Alex started to wipe the food off, but it was obvious that it had ruined his outfit. "Now, what am I going to do about this?"
