You were almost done cleaning her room, stopping a bit to watch all those strange trinkets Alice liked to keep around but at some point the drudgery of cleaning a room that wasn't yours in a house that wasn't yours started clearing up your mind.
What were you doing? You came here to rest for a month and have fun and for some reason you were doing maid work while she was watching TV. The reason you wanted to stay with Alice was because you didn't get along too well with Marisa and didn't want to spend all day playing childish games with Anna (and your first pick proved herself to be a bit intense too) but even if Alice had become an.. extremely beautiful girl in these last couple of years you shouldn't be just doing her chores in exchange for absolutely nothing
You ignored the little thrills in your insides when you thought about how ridiculous it was to clean Alice room just because she told you to, and decided to just ditch the work and waste time in your phone instead. Your habits of checking social media sites and scroll aimlessly were still there, though you were paying quite a bit more attention to the posts made by women and reacting positively to them, regardless of if they were influencers or just random profiles that popped up in your feed.
Once you got your fix you looked at the almost clean room again, thinking that maybe you should talk with Alice about how you weren't here to do chores or offering to do so only if there was something in exchange like money for example, since aunt Laura's family seemed better off than yours.
Now that you thought about it, you didn't mind that much, you could happily do some chores if it meant you could go back home a bit richer, yeah, maybe you should negotiate with Alice and keep your resolve now that you knew what you wanted, instead of simply agree to do things for her. Or you could remember that you weren't supposed to do any of this and focus on yourself and your fun, maybe trying to see if with the years Marisa and you can have a better relationship or just go and be a nice cousin for Anna.
