He smiles a bit and shakes his head.
“Well, I know the new situation can be stressful for you, but don’t be ashamed. You are not the only one in that situation.”

“Thanks” You say and try to sound mature.
“I bet you like to meet your roommate. And I know she is eager to meet you.” He says ang gets up.
“You have to know that normally we put the first graders together in simple rooms, but sometimes we have special ladies that need an older student to look after them.” He smiles and takes the lead, out of the office and go down the long corridor.
The school looks nice and he the three of you stops at the music hall, the gym and the nurse station. He stops and turns to you.
“If you need something in between classes you can come here. Do you understand?” He winks at you and you nod your head – even if you are not sure what he means.
Going further he whispers to your mother.
“Is she always that shy?”
You mother laughs and shake her head.
“No she can be a handful. On the ride she made her dad very angry today and she is lucky that we were in a hurry or she might get a spanking for sticking out her tongue to him.”
You blush bet red and says nothing. You only hope that your father is not angry anymore when see him again. He waits by the car, since he would get lost in the big building – a habit you got from him.
The principal shows the class rooms, too before he stops in front of a door.
“This will be your new room. Mandy is older and will look after your special needs. That is her price for having this big room together with you.”
