He found himself aboard the ship (or at least a ship) tossed about on a stormy sea. Waves crashed all around as strong winds threatened to push him off the deck. Dark clouds sent down sheets of rain and yet he wasn't soaked.
Then came the slick wet slimy sound and John looked on in horror as several long, wet tentacles began to wrap up and over the sides of the ship. He tried to run, but his feet felt glued in place as the tentacles inched towards him. He couldn't even scream as they wrapped around him, pining his arms to his side. And yet others pulled his legs apart.
His suddenly pants-less legs.
This time he did make a strangled yell as one tentacle began to push it's way where nothing had any right to go. Another found his open mouth and dove in, making him gag as it wriggled down his throat.
John was defenceless as he was lifted effortlessly off the boat and into the heaving ocean. He held his breath, though, it was difficult with a tenticale wiggling its way down his throat.
The world under the chaotic waters were a sickening green color, turning pitch black as John was dragged deeper and deeper into the abyss of the ocean.
Suddenly the darkness was lit up with four giant orbs of light, but John had a horrified feeling that it belonged to an ungodly behemoth that dwelled the ocean.
"Come here, my love," an echoing voice spoke. It was as sweet as it was foreboding. "Join me."
John struggled even more desperately against his bonds, screaming.....
....And he gasped as he shot up from his bunk bed, drenched in sweat. It was all a dream, yet, it was so vivid.
He groand, rubbing the sweat away, saying, "I hate the sea."
