As Claire gains Jen reassures her she looks great

As a few more pounds start to creep onto Claire's body people started to take notice. One day at school during lunch one of her friends decided to bring it up.

"Claire you gain a little weight recently?" Claire's thickened belly could be seen through her shirt which had become tighter on her over the 10 pound recent gain.

"Yeah a little. My mom wants me to have a healthy body, she says I'm too skinny."

"Too skinny? That seems weird, you seem average to me." Her friend questioned her logic.

"That's what I thought but my mom said most girls nowadays are too skinny and they could use some more meat on their bones."

"Wow, I wonder if I should be trying to gain a few pounds then."

"All I know is I don't mind getting two extra cookies with my lunch now."

Claire's little mantra started to permeate the school that day. It didn't spread like wild fire, but it started to get people thinking. Claire's friend told two of her friends and then it spread from there. People started to see Claire not as someone who was getting chunky, but someone who was filling out in womanly places.
