Claire starts to like enjoying meals with her mom

After a couple of weeks had passed, Jen's effort started showing, with Claire's initial weight loss entirely reverted and some addtional weight added to her frame. Claire didn't notice this, but her mother felt that she could benefit from gaining some more weight to have some healthy buffer, in case she started losing weight again.

Claire's appetite had now naturally increased, and she would ask for second helpings on her own on every meal. This made Jen start to try to influence her with snacks during the rest of the day, instead. Claire's mom would often come to her witha fresh tray of brownies she was experimenting with, offer some chocolate to boost her daughter's study session, or casually mention there was some ice cream in the fridge to go with the movie she was watching.

About another month later of this, Claire's gain was starting to get noticeable. Her clothes now felt snuggier and she felt softer overall. She didn't pay much atention to it, and for some time it was just an uneasy feeling in the back of her mind. Her mother's cooking was getting increasingly delicious, and she liked the positive feedback she was getting from eating it. If she really was gaining weight, her mom would probably have told her already.

Claire only admitted she was gaining weight when her clothes stopped fitting. She decided to weigh herself. As she stood on the bathroom scales, they read 162. She didn't expect that much. She decided to tell her mom.

"Mom, I think I'm gaining too much weight. I'm more than 10 pounds fatter than I've ever been. I'm going to cut back on the eating."

"Claire, dear. Don't be silly."

You have the following choices:

1. Jen bribes a doctor to get Claire into a bogus diet.

2. Jen convinces Claire she isn't gaining that much weght.
