The next day went as usual. The large door had been fixed and Jenna had no trouble getting to her desk. The event was still fresh in everyone’s mind though and it had caused a bit of a stir around the office.
“I mean, how much could she possibly weigh?” Melissa said.
“She is soooo big. She’s got to be like 400 pounds right?” Victoria said. Courtney gave her a look.
“Well I weigh 400 pounds so maybe try again.” Courtney said.
“Wait… so she could be like… 500 pounds?” Christina said in shock. At 140 pounds, 500 was a weight that she couldn’t comprehend.
“Probably.” Alice said. There was a long pause as the girls soaked in the realization. “You know there was a woman that was here a while ago that apparently got to 600.”
“You mean Jessica? Yeah she’s Jenna’s boss now, I think.” Courtney said.
“How did she get so fat? I mean 500 pounds… That’s like… crazy.” Victoria said a little dumbfounded.
“Well apparently she was just a chubby young thing out of college when she started working here.” Courtney said. Everyone was gathered around Courtney desperate to hear the story of Jen’s immense weight gain. “She was as big as you are Vicky.”
“What? No way.” Melissa said.
“Way. You’ve all seen her eat. After ten years her appetite took a toll on her.” Courtney said. Victoria was a little spooked that Jen used to look like her. They might not have known it but all of the girls at the office were destined to reach at least 500 pounds. Jenna was a sign of their future at the office.
