The Telephone Rings

    by: Unknown
Suddenly Destiny's telephone rings. The gargoyle giantess gets up and you see this as your chance to make a move for it and run away. Unfortunately Destiny's foot comes down and you flinch. The good news is that she didn't squish you, the bad news is you're stuck between her talons. You let out a groan but as Destiny raises her foot in the air with you between her toes, you realize something, she didn't notice you.

Destiny looks at the caller ID on her phone and sees that it reads "Whitney". She picks up the phone and answers it. "Hi Whitney." She says flatly. On the other side of the phone was that wererhino woman from the photograph, the one that looked like Fox and while you couldn't tell from your side of the phone, she had just gotten out of the shower. "Hi Big D," she says. "How's my B.F.F. doing?" Destiny lets out a sigh. "Miserably Whitney," she says. "That bigmouthed doctor told Fate about my blood pressure results and she wouldn't stop badgering me until I took a vacation." "Well you needed it girl," said Whitney, the rhino woman. "You still have that one crook driving you insane. He'll put you in the K.D.P. soon enough. Lucky for you, I'm the number two girl there."

"K.D.P.?" you ask as you overhear. You heard of that place. It was a crazy house for monsters. You think you heard of some human girl there. Sylvia. She was nothing special to you. Just some floozy you conned into thinking she was your girlfriend. Destiny then scoffs. "Whitney," she says. "Don't you have somebody driving you crazy as well." Whitney lets out a snort. "Yes, yes I do. It's that Sylvia girl. She pleaded insanity to get out of going to prison, but I'm pretty sure that she's faking it." Destiny lets out a laugh. "Maybe Wade should've thought of that. I'd like to see what you'd do to him."

Whitney lets out a laugh. "By the way, how's Fate doing?" "Last I checked, she was okay She's got a good work ethic that girl. Maybe you and Xander should have kids." Whitney scoffs at that thought. "Destiny," she says. "The last thing I need are kids. I work at the K.D.P., In a way, I have more kids than anyone could want." "It's just as well," says Destiny. "Wererhino human hybrids are probably something the world isn't ready for." That's when your eyes popped. Destiny's friend was married and to a HUMAN!? "What is the guy?" you ask. "Blind and stupid. That's disgusting."

"You know Destiny," says Whitney. "You're single and I'll bet that you'd be turning a lot of heads." Destiny's eyes glow red for a moment. "Whitney," she says. "I'm going to tell you the same thing I told you at your wedding reception. Men... are.... poison." Wow, it looks like Destiny's still sour about what happened with her ex-boyfriend.

"So Whitney," says Destiny. "Why did you call anyway?" "Well," says Whitney. "It's getting close to winter and Xander and I wanted to invite you to the Grimmsly Lodge. Perhaps some fun on the slopes will put you in a better mood. Destiny lets out a sigh. "Okay Whitney," she says. "I'll go. See you tomorrow." Destiny hangs up as you try to squirm out from between her toes. You grumble as Destiny starts moving and the gargoyle giantess heads towards...
