Not Everything is Peaceful in Utopia

Some people don't know a good thing when they see it, so there is always an underbelly of crime in even the best society. Maybe their oppressed aliens, or robots acting out, or humans that haven't gotten the memo. Maybe they have some ideological stance even as to why they act out, but there will always be crime. Some times they are called Space Gangsters, sometimes its more Space Pirate, either way, they rocket to where they want to go to avoid the law.

On the flip side The Union has no shortage of funds and resources to throw at this problem, and has a police force equipped and ready to handle this emerging space faring threat. Space Cops have ships, mechs, laser guns and, their most powerful tool, the badge. Where there is a heist they are there to foil it. Dangerous drugs banned by the Union being sold? Not any more, Space cops are here. Where there is trouble they are there to protect and serve. Certainly a ton of funding, and tons of power won't go to any heads, and cause any corruption in the force.
