This choice: Falls into tears (not like him) • Go Back... To my surprise and worry, James just fell into tears where he stood. He rose a trembling hand over his eyes as if he were embarrassed to be seen crying. This was not like your older brother to just fall into tears and you immediately took his free hand into yours, trying to comfort him. "It's okay, James." trying to be comforting, you said. "It can't be all that bad."
"I- I'm not allowed to say." struggling to compose himself, James said. "It's no-not my decision to make."
James was clearly frustrated by this as he never wanted to hurt you, which made you all the more worried. Unknown to you or James, dad was watching from the shadows. He frowned, seeing James fall into tears and walked into the kitchen where he pressed six tiles on a wall in a hexagon pattern. A section of the wall turned, revealing a number of shelves filled with a large number of vials. Dad was a mad scientist and had sent his eldest son to a special school to learn how to control his own powers. "I had promised myself never to do this to my little girl." fuming, he said. "However, she needs to learn some respect for her siblings."
Dad had thought you had broken James' trust by not accepting him as a mad scientist and searched for the perfect serum to teach you not to repeat the mistake. "Perfect!" picking a vial, dad whispered.
"Please, James, what is wrong?" worried, you asked him. "I can't help you unless you open up."
"That is enough, young lady!" barging into the room, dad scolded. "You need to learn a lesson!"
With that, he poured the serum onto your head, leaving both you stunned and James furious. "Dad, what on Earth are you doing!?!" furious, he asked. "Have you lost your mind!?!"
"I saw her taunting you, son." evenly, dad replied. "She needs to learn not to judge others so quickly."
"Practice what you preach!!" his anger rising, James countered. "I was not crying because Jessica was taunting me, I didn't know how to tell her the truth! Now you pour a serum onto her!?!"
Dad's face turned pale as you began to feel something moving inside you like a swarm of insects. It was an unpleasant feeling and you quickly found yourself losing consciousness. The last thing you heard before darkness took you was dad whispering, "I am so sorry, Jessica. Please forgive me."
Moments later, you woke up to find that you had become...
