You'd recognize that voice anywhere! It was your friend Mia. She moved in the same year you started high school, and you were the best of friends. It stayed that way for a while, but in sophomore year you two drifted apart as you talked to guy friends and she talked to girl friends. Then, for junior year she transferred to another school completely! You felt like it would be awkward to talk to her now, even though she lives across the street.
