Superman was flying over the earth using his super hearing to listen for anything amiss. Knowing that Boy blue could hear him lex spoke normally from his penthouse. "Superman, unless you want your girlfriend to find herself with a hole between her eyes i suggest you come here in the next few seconds."
Knowing that Lex wasn't joking, Superman barged in through the wall of the skyscraper seeing Lex suited up in a bubble like coating holding an odd device. Lois was slumped over in a chair a few feet away from Lex.
Not feeling like monologuing since that's how villains usually lose Lex activates the device with an audible click.
"what did you just do Lex?" Superman demands
"This was a gift from Circe, with it you will no longer be a thorn in my side. I wish I could say it has been a pleasure, but it really hasn't. The changes will happen overnight." With his final parting words, Lex removes the suit, drops a small bit of kryptonite as well as the spent device and calmly walks out of the room.
