Chapter #5

Cody decides to tell the others

    by: Something Author IconMail Icon
Despite his desire to keep you to himself for a while, Cody decided to do the right thing and try to get more help. So, he was able to contact Brandon and Ryan, and they met Cody at his house. After a while of explaining what happened and showing them proof, they believed the entire story and were just as surprised as Cody was. Much like Cody, Ryan was amused by your situation. Meanwhile, Brandon was concerned for your safety.

"Haha! Look how little he is," Ryan laughed as he extended his finger towards you, acting like he was about to poke you. The sight of the skyscraper-sized quickly object moving in your direction startled you and made you back up, but luckily, it stopped before it could actually touch you.

Looking back at Cody, Ryan said, "Guess you're not the shortest anymore. I'm sure you're happy about that." After saying that, he started patting the younger boy's head, trying to annoy him. And it worked, since Cody started complaining and pushing him away.

"Come on, Ryan. This isn't funny. He's clearly terrified and we really need to find some way to help him," Brandon told him, trying to get him to take this at least somewhat seriously.

"I mean, what can we do, really?" Ryan asked, "We don't know how to grow him back. Maybe I can keep him!" He once again pretended to poke you as he said, "Don't worry, buddy. I'm sure it won't be that bad," You were starting to get more annoyed than frightened at this point. Of course Ryan would just tease him about this. He should have realized that earlier. Brandon then pushed his arm away and said, "Will you stop that?"

Picking up his phone, Brandon said, "Adam, are you alright? I know Ryan was being stupid again, but I'll make sure you won't become his pet or whatever."

"Yeah, I'm fine," you told him. "He's just being annoying as usual."

"I was just kidding! I didn't actually mean any of that. You need to stop taking everything so seriously," Ryan grinned, but Brandon just ignored him.

"Okay, so, yeah, I agree with your idea. We'll give you a safe place to stay for a while," Brandon said before looking back at Ryan and clarifying, "No, Ryan, not your house." He then looked back at the area of the desk you were standing on and continued, "And I'll try to see if I can find something that can help fix this. Maybe I can find someone else who can help, too."

"Great! Thank you," you said happily.

Brandon then approached Cody and Ryan and said, "Now, you two. Don't try anything, okay?" Ryan smirked, "Fine, fine. You're no fun, but whatever." Brandon wasn't too convinced yet, but maybe the others would actually not bother or scare you. Maybe they'd actually be helpful in some way.
