During lunch break, when Chihiro was in the lib...

Chihiro adored the school library. She saw it as her own personal haven in the middle of Gekkoukan, a place where she could lose herself in the countless books it offered. Every school day would find Chihiro spending her entire lunch break in the library, her nose buried in one book or another. Most other students spent the hour in their classrooms or one of the more noise-friendly hangouts, though a few opted to study in the library. Of course the students that chose the last option were so few that Chihiro had no trouble finding an empty spot in the library to enjoy herself.

Setting down the book she had just finished, a fun if generic fantasy story, Chihiro stood up and thought of what to start reading next. Perhaps science-fiction, or a historical fiction, Chihiro thought as she quietly walked through the fiction section. For a few minutes Chihiro perused the books with little success. "Read it. Read it. Read it. Not my type... hmm." Chihiro thought to herself. Finally, out of the corner of her eye, Chihiro saw a title that caught her eye. The book was too high for Chihiro to reach on her own, meaning she'd have to go grab the stepladder.

A few minutes later, Chihiro was standing on top of a short stepladder, desperately reaching for the book she had seen. Even with the added height it was just barely out of Chihiro's reach. This wasn't going to deter the book lover, however, as Chihiro carefully raised herself up further, supporting herself only with her toes now, and just barely managed to get her fingers around the spine of the book. Finally! Chihiro managed to grab the book, now she could get back to reading! At least, that's what Chihiro would have liked to happen. Instead, as Chihiro silently rejoiced from her precarious position on the stepladder-
