Chapter #5The Livingston Circus by: pedro01   The Livingston Circus is a family owned entertainment company that runs the circus, filled with performers through acrobats, animals, stunts, and other entertainers to make people laugh and amazed. Roger Livingston is both the ringmaster, and the man in charger running the business. He had a wife named Sarah, who deals with the animal tricks, his daughter Kelly, who is sixteen, and she’s performing acrobatics, and then his son named Bruce. He’s nine years old, and he’s a bit too young to perform at this moment.
Bruce is more like a helper by any means, which he doesn’t seem to mind of it, since he can basically looking up to his family and other performers, and learn everything from them at this early stage. It was going to be another usual day, which he was there at the tent to set everything up for the next show. That was until he was wanted by his father, Roger, and greeted with that wide smile to his face.
“Hey son! Do you mind if I can talk to you for a bit?” Roger wondered with that smile to his face.
“Sure Dad, what is it?” Bruce wondered with a nod, and listened to what his Dad is asking him.
“You see, I’m glad you wanted to help, since you’re a bit young to perform for our circus, but I’ve just recently had a performer taken ill, and I was wondering if you would like to take its place, and see how you get on?” Roger asked, since he needed someone to fill in its space to get the show going again.
“Really?” Bruce looked surprised with his face been lifted up widely. “You want me to perform in front of the audience?”
“Yes Bruce! I really do! In fact, I’ve got an act just for you to come in as.” Roger says, as he already found some talent his son could do something with it.
“Well that will be great! But what part am I in?” Roger asked with wide smile and was curious as to what his Dad has got for him.
What Roger had something in mind is that he doesn’t have an act that does freak-shows or people with extraordinary things. Of course there was one thing that’s never been done before that is being a giant at 20 feet tall. He knew his nine year old son is a good fit to fill in that role, as he’s only stood at 4’7, so he’ll be hoping if Bruce will enjoy this, as much as he wants to keep this a secret until then.
