Jacob's schoolmates became very excited when they saw him. They had heard of what had happened to him this summer, but not many believed it. But now everyone could see him with their own eyes. A 10-year-old boy whose schoolmates only touch his thighs. Many greeted or waved to Jacob. The boy began to calm down. He expected a much worse reaction.
He could just move around school like at home but that didn't bother him. In class, he met his friends who he hadn't met all summer. First, of course, they talked about his height, but then they started behaving like in the past.
During class, Jacob sat on a thick blanket on the floor in front of a dining table. He was looking forward to the breaks. He was hyperactive so he did not like staying alone for long. During the break he was playing with his friends in the yard. During the gym class, the teachers tried to compare the tasks to their size. He was barefoot in the gym because he only had a pair of shoes. Jacob loved to move so he enjoyed every moment.
By afternoon he felt like he was a normal kid again.
