Dragons don't normally roam nor do they pick up children, but when Ignis looked down and saw you standing there, lost and terrified, he couldn't just leave. Instead, he flew down and spoke in a roaring voice, "Human, are you lost?"
You nodded shyly.
Ignis stared for a few minutes. Then, to your astonishment, he leaned forward and laid a wing on the ground before you. "Come then. I will take care of you."
And so that was how it started. For the next 5 years, you stayed with Ignis in his home in the Fire Plains, learning how to control fire magic. But this wasn't just any fire magic -- this was the great Ignis' fire magic. He had given you his blood after taking you home with him on the first day, saying with this, you can now not only control fire, but also breathe and eat it as well. At first, everything was confusing, but then it started growing on you. After all, fire dragons were immune to fire, so if you had Ignis' blood, you were as well.
