This choice: A teenage girl and a group of her friends • Go Back...Chapter #5A teenage girl and a group of her friends by: Unknown You can do nothing but stare out past your plastic barrier as a beautiful young redheaded teenager lifts your box into the air and smiles down at you.
“Aw it’s so cute!” she says, her eye’s scanning every inch of you, “the clothes are a little low quality but still the level of design they’ve put into this new line of dolls is incredible!”
“Jeez Kaitlyn,” a dark haired girl in black lipstick says stepping next to her friend to get a better look at you, “i still can’t get over how obsessed with dolls you are.”
“Yeah,” a new girl with blonde hair says stepping forward as well, “it’s like all you ever talk about.”
“Oh come on, guys” Kaitlyn, the girl holding you, says defensively, “They’re just so cute, and besides everybody needs a hobby.”
“Whatever,” the dark haired girl scoffs, “Now just buy your toy so we can get going!”
With that Kaitlyn lets you box fall to her side as she holds it with her right hand as she waits in line to buy you. Soon enough you are lifted back up and laid down on the checkout counter where you see your coworker Mandy smiling at customers.
“With this be all for today?” Mandy asks.
“Um yes,” Kaitlyn replies.
“Do you have a rewards card with us?”
“Um, yes,” Kaitlyn awkwardly replies, handing over a small pink card to Mandy.
Mandy swipes the card and her eyes go wide as she reads the screen.
“Oh my,” Mandy says with a giggle, “one of our regulars I see.”
Kaitlyn just laughs slightly, obviously a little embarrassed.
“Well,” Mandy says picking up your box and handing it to Kaitlyn, “we appreciate loyal customers so this one is on the house.”
“Really?” Kaitlyn asks, excitement evident in her voice.
“Of course,” Mandy smiles back, “and if you’re ever looking for a job we’d be happy to have such a dedicated doll enthusiast on our team!”
“Oh t-thank you,” Kaitlyn says, unable to hide her smile, “I’ll definitely consider it!”
“Good to hear, now you have a good day now and enjoy your new doll.”
You can’t believe you just had to sit through watching you coworker off this young girl a job and then give you away to her for free! You try to struggle yet again but it’s no use, for the time being, you’re this girl’s new doll!
“Alright girls,” Kaitlyn says to her friends, “I think it’s time…”   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
