Chapter #3Lenne's Dorm by: Alicid   The sun slowly poured into the room into an open dresser drawer and made contact with Chez's eyelids. Chez groans and turns the other way, reaching for his blanket and covers himself. The blanket has a warm and fragrant odor that Chez breathes in deeply, and the texture of the blanket seems to be extra...silky today. "Maybe Luna cleaned my sheets", Chez says to himself as he enjoy the feeling of his fresh red sheets against his fur-... wait a minute, red sheets? Chez opens his eyes and blinks a few times before tracing his fingers on his sheets, "These aren't mine" he thinks as he observes the lacey design and the strange triangular shape of his new bedsheets. Chez notices his bed also has no spring to it, almost as if he is lying on a pile of cloth. "Where did my bed go", he thinks as he springs up and notices the unfamiliar decor and rearranged furniture in the dorm room, "Where am I", he thinks to himself.
Chez gets a look at his surroundings before climbing atop the dresser his bed was situated in. Chez notices there is a figure lying in the bed in the center of the room, a female with grey fur and silver hair. "That looks like Luna, but why are we in this room". Chez begins to scale down the dresser, realizing along the way that his bed was an underwear drawer. With a blushing face he continues towards the bed and begins to scale the sheets. Once he reaches the top, he walks up towards the silver furred figure, "Hey Luna, are you awake" he shouts. The figure stirs and curls more tightly into the sheets shifting Chez slightly towards her. Chez heads towards the pillows and walks towards Luna's head, "Luna, whose room are we-" a large rounded ear flops up as the figure stirs. Chez stares as the young woman turns towards him and opens her eyes slightly and suddenly rears back in surprise. "AH" they both yell in surprise as the girl flops off the side of the bed, taking the sheets with her. "Owwwww", a moan emerges from the far side of the bed as Chez slowly approaches.
Chez sees the combination of sheets entwined, concealing the figure that struggles to escape. Feeling partly responsible, he sits and readys himself to help, but just before he jumps, a head emerges from the blanket. Two large ears plop out as the girl takes a large gasp of air, and makes eye contact with Chez. The grey furred, silver haired girl with violet eyes begins to stabilize her vision as Chez shouts with open eyes, "YOU'RE A MOUSE!". The girl looks at him and wearily says, "So are you!". Chez stutters, "I-I no I mean you I why how is ugh...Why are you so tall" he manages to say. The girl stands up and wraps the sheets around her like a cloak, "Why are you so small" she asks back, slightly confused at his questioning. Chez glares and explains, "I am a Mouse, Mice are small are they not?". Feeling patronized the girl snarkily responds, "I'm small for girls my age, but no one in my family is a shrimp like you" she says and then seems to regret it. Unmoved by her insult Chez begins to think to himself, He is the only mouse he has ever seen and now he comes to the realization that he is even more special that he thought, but not in a cool super hero way, but a really lame unlucky kind of way.
Chez stares into space as his mind races about this predicament, "Um, who are you" the girl asks. "Oh, I'm Chez", he says while the girl lowers her head to him. "I'm Lenne" she says with a smile, "Now what are you doing in my room". Chez thinks for a bit and realizes, "I don't remember".
Lenne stands up and says,  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
