Just as the decision was made among the group to remain in the village, a man approached Glen, Justin, Nick, and Rico. "Ah, you are all together, that is good." relief in his voice, he said.

"What is this about?" curious, Glen asked.

"The elder has summoned you for a very important mission." serious, the man replied. "One that may save our village from a slow death."

"The elder?" confused, Justin asked. "I thought there were twelve elders in all."

"They all gave their lives to magically construct a machine that will allow you four to wander beyond our boarders in safety." sadly, the man said. "You four are the best qualified to pilot this machine and bring back supplies for us to have a chance."

This peeked the four boys' curiosity and they followed the man into a large chamber at the base of a towering tree where they found a giant machine that looked like one of them. In actuality, it was nothing more than a boy baby doll that had been reconstructed on the inside with mechanical parts and a magical power source.

"Wow." in awe, Justin said.

"It's huge." stunned, Nick remarked.

"This will allow you to travel outside our boarders." with a weak voice, an old man said. "We all gave everything we had to construct it so do not fail us."

"Um... how does it work?" curious, Rico asked.

"One of you will be the pilot, controlling his arms and legs and voice." simply, the man replied. "The others will be the scout team, gathering items we need and placing them into the storage unit inside the doll."

"You must decide on your own who will lead." the old man added. "The machine is ready for you, good luck."

The four took about an hour to gather supplies for their mission then entered the machine, all sitting inside comfortably in a bridge inside the machine's head. Glen worked the controls and the doll walked away from the village to search for supplies. A few minutes later, they encountered....
