Before you can determine the look on the giant brown hedgehog's face, the bell above the store's door rings again, the sound of Mable and Labelle chatting gracing your ears. As you look over to them, you see them notice you on the table, squinting to try and make out the strange, tiny shape in front of their quiet, workaholic sister.
"Sable, what do you have there? Is that a bug, or..." Mable asks, coming closer.
Labelle followed behind, looking over her shoulder. "No way, a bug wouldn't stand like that. That looks like a person. Do you have a tiny doll, dear?"
You sheepishly wave, earning a gasp from them both. They rush over, eyes wide as they get close enough to recognize you. "Is that..." Mable began in an astonished tone.
"The mayor?!" both exclaimed, leaning in closer, their faces massive as they looked right at you. Sable sighed, nodding.
"Yes, I just found him like this," she began, rubbing her head. "I honestly wasn't sure if this was real. I don't know what to do with him..."
"Well, I mean, obviously we should try to help him, right?" Mable asked, standing up with a concerned look. "It can't be safe being this small."
"Oh, definitely," Labelle added, gazing down at you. "Though I'm not sure what exactly we can do about his situation. This sort of thing is unheard of! At the very least I suppose we can house the little darling while we try to figure this out..."
"You're right. Mayor, we'll take good care of you until we can find out how to make you normal size again, okay?"
You smile and call up to them in thanks, earning a chorus of giggles from the three. Apparently, you're very adorable at this size.
The three sisters step away and begin talking amongst themselves in hushed tones. You have trouble making out what they're saying and can't exactly get closer, but you manage to make out the words "Adorable", "Tiny", and "Clothes" at various points. You are unsure what to make of it, and become painfully aware of how much you'll have to trust these three to keep you safe... and not abuse the obvious power dynamic they now held over you. But, they were sweet girls, right? There was no way they would do that.
Soon enough, it was closing time, and the three of them headed home with you stuck in one of their pockets. They assured you that they would start looking for answers tomorrow, as well as let Isabelle know about your situation. You relaxed, sure that they would do their best to help you. You just had to trust them.
What would await you at the Able sisters' home?
