Lisa opened her eyes, but she couldn't see anything. She felt really dizzy like her brain had been shaken through thoroughly. A voice suddenly counted down and then the lights went on. Lisa closed her eyes immediately, her eyes were too sensitive to look straight into the bright lamp on top of her. The door suddenly opened and a woman around her mother's age came inside. She looked worried as she looked down on top of Lisa and asked: "Tell me what is your real name?"
"Lisa, Lisa Hale." Lisa answered. The woman looked shocked, and Lisa wondered what was wrong. And why did her voice sound different?
"What's happening?" Lisa asked getting scared. She felt herself getting panicked.
"Lisa, I'm Emma Nail director of the Nexus. Now I want you to relax and slowly breath in and out." Lisa nodded and breathed slowly in and out. She felt how she got calmer.
"Are you okay now?" Emma asked Lisa. Lisa nodded.
"First let me tell you Lisa, that we never had a thing like this happen before. Our team is still looking to try and figure out how this could have happened. For now let me say we don't know what caused this."
"Why? What happened?" Lisa asked getting concerned.
"Lisa when you were hooked up with Mrs. Rhodes you were supposed to get each other's life, she yours and you hers. But something went wrong. The machine transferred a lot more than that."
"What is it?" Lisa asked her voice getting higher.
"When you would have swapped just lives, you would just keep your own body only when you would look into a reflection of yourself you would see some of the things that were important in that other person's lives. Instead of that, you and Mrs. Rhodes have switched bodies."
When Lisa heard that, she felt like a rock hit her stomach hard. This couldn't be true, this couldn't be happening. Emma grabbed a handheld mirror and held it in front of her.
Lisa grabbed the mirror and noticing her hand she took a look in the mirror and felt her hart stopping for a second. In the reflection she saw an EXACT copy of Heather Rodes her face. Curly long blond hair, a fake tan from the times she used the sunbed, and the short nose job Heather got on her birthday. Lisa felt around her face and saw in the mirror her reflection doing the same thing. This really confirmed it, she hoped it might be a trick mirror, but when she looked at her hands she knew they were not hers. Her hands were more wrinkled and her long fingernails were covered in red nail polish.
Lisa thoughts were going everywhere as she didn't know what would happen. What would they do now? How long would it take to fix this?
"I think you might have a lot of questions, how about we go to my office and talk about it?" Emma suggested. Lisa nodded a little. She sat up but then she felt a dizzy spell. She relaxed her breathing and slowly stepped down on the floor.
"That's good Lisa, you don't have to walk fast, just take your time." Emma suggested.
Walking felt a bit odd, Heathers breasts were larger (because of breasts implants) than her own so Lisa had to straighten her back more to not being pushed down by the weight of those. She even felt how her breasts would jiggle with every step she took. Her hips were bigger too, showing the signs of childbearing. The weirdest thing was when she thought how Megan came out of this body. She felt herself smile thinking how their relationship was much deeper now than before.
Emma opened the door to her office. "I think you know this person rather well." Lisa walked inside the room and the first thing she noticed was the person that was standing there. She recognized that brown hair, that physique and that face pretty well. It was her old body. Lisa was staring at her old self looking at her expression. Heather was...
