It all started simple enough, electrodes were connected to Lisa's head to transfer skills from Stacy Rodger, and the large arcane circle on the floor flared to life as it should have. Within the room, a pressure built as reality was bent and warped, connecting the existence of Stacy Rodger to Lisa Hale, and vice versa. Two doors down, the same process was occurring for Lisa.
But then, something happened. Was it an accident that caused the incident, or sabotage? Did the drop of blood on the arcane circle came from an employee accidentally cutting herself, or did someone with intent cut themselves? One thing was certain: Things did not proceed according to plan.
The power of energy in the room intensified, the dim glow of magic in the arcane circle became blindingly bright, and the EEG connected to the neural link went mad with more than ten times the amount of activity that would been expected. Then, the lights went out, and everything stopped.
