Never let it be said that Sun was unable to find fun in whatever she was doing. Working with Kate's website was fun, and certainly steady work, it wasn't as lucrative as Sun would have hoped, at least not for the models. With her dream job not quite cutting it when it came to cash, Sun was ready to resign herself to a boring service industry job. But then she found Donna's Diner.
Donna's Diner was something straight out of the 50's; at one point it was just the normal decor for the time, and if anything it had only been ramped up in a kitschy gimmick. Jukeboxes, old posters, checkerboard floors, malts and floats, waiters in dumb paper hats and red-and-white-striped aprons, and waitresses in pink dresses. The manager, "Donna" (Sun didn't know if that was actually her name or if she just said it was to fit the diner), a taller, late 30-somthing woman, with a slightly thick frame and fiery red hair, was pretty laid back, all things considered, which was fine by Sun. Her uniform pink dress was a size too small for her ("Must have been a mix-up," Sun said, "Oh well!"), what she wore under it was hardly uniform regulation (when it was there at all), and her tendency for "accidents" persisted while she was at the workplace. Any other manager might have fired her a while back, but Donna took everything in stride. The only problem with her was how often she tried to add on to the restaurants gimmick with some new feature or set of instructions for the staff.
So, at about 9:00, Sun walked into work like always. A bit of set up here, some friendly chat with her coworkers there, and Sun was ready to start the day, but something else was ready throw her for a loop....
