Second Age sees the emerging of the wonderful mannish island of Númenor, the most magnificent of kingdoms of Men and the homeland of those who we later meet by the name Dúnedain, "Men of the West". Over time, númenóreans grew pround and selfish, challenging the deities themselves at the end...
We can only imagine that a land of peace, far from everyday struggles of Middle-Earth, would see coming of many a pampered noble men and women, spending their days by throwing lavish feasts and such.
In the meantime, elves form a new kingdom of Lindon under High King Ereinion Gil-galad, whilist Elrond found the refuge of Imladris somewhere middle in the Age. Early in the Second Age, the Noldor also estabilish the kingdom of Eregion.
We can begin by choosing whose story we'd like to follow in the Second Age...
