Felicity is a physicist and a little eccentric. You decide to just wait and see.
As promised, one week later Felicity calls you. "It's ready." she says. "Come over and see."
"What's ready?" you ask. "Your invention?"
"Yep." she says. "Come over. I want you to be here when I try it the first time."
Excited to finally find out what this is all about you rush over.
"So..." you say when Felicity greets you at her front door. "What is this secret invention of yours?"
"Come in." she says, letting you inside and locking the front door. "This way." She leads you into the room next to her bedroom which she uses as a lab.
In the centre of the room is a chair, covered with electrodes. A bundle of wires runs from the chair to a computer.
"What is it?" you ask.
"A time machine." she announces.
"What?" you ask. "You mean you can ride this chair through time?"
"Not quite." she explains. "According to my calculations, it's impossible to send something to a different time. Matter is locked to it's own timeline."
"So it's not a time machine?" you're getting confused.
"No it is." she says. "But it only sends your mind. You jump into your own body at some point in the past."
