Susan decided to have some more fun with Dan without him knowing it. The first thing she wrote in the notebook was "What if Dan believed everything I told him." This would allow her to write things in the notebook and tell him she wrote something else without him checking.
Meanwhile on his date, Dan kept getting more and more frustrated about his finger being in his mouth. Mark didn't mind, he thought it was all perfectly normal, but Dan knew better. Dan decided to say he had a headache so that Mark would take him home and he could fix things with Susan. But before he could leave, Susan wrote another wish in her notebook. "What if Dan was never potty trained." she wrote. She didn't include Dan's name so he never knew anything had changed although at the mall, Dan was now wearing diapers that were still somewhat dry, but not totally.
"Look," Dan told Mark, "I'm not feeling too good. I think I should return home."
"What is it?": Mark asked concerned.
"I have a little headache. It's not too bad, but still." Mark agreed and soon the two were on their way back to Dan's house.
