A story about a notebook which changes reality whenever you write "What if..."

This choice: What if I were Susan and she was Dan?  •  Go Back...
Chapter #5

Susan and Dan switch bodies

    by: Unknown
“This is is ridiculous and dumb,” you scoff, while scribbling away a random, joke message on Susan's notebook. “You really expect me to believe this?”

“Oh my god, Dan! Why did you write that?” yelled Susan glancing down at what I'd written.

“Just to prove that … that … ahem … that this is all a game of make-believe and … hey, what happened to my voice?” you say with a stutter.

Your voice is softer, lighter, higher pitched, and more breathy and sensual.

Touching your throat, you realize the skin on both your hands and your neck is somehow a lot softer and smoother now.

“Susan, what's going … OH MY GOD!” you shriek, finally looking back up at your sister.

She's gone – in her place, standing right there in garage in the same position she'd been in, is now … YOU!

“You're me!” you gasp.

Then with a shudder you look down at yourself.

You've become Susan!

You've got her boobs, her hands and arms, her hair, her long silky smooth legs … and you're wearing the tight dress and high heels she'd been in just moments earlier.

“How did you this?” you shriek with your sister's voice.

“I didn't do this, Dan!” she snaps back at you with your old voice. “You're the one that wrote down that stupid wish in the notebook. Good one, bro! Hope you enjoy being a sexy woman with a supermodel's body now.”

“What?!” I shrieked.

My voice was a lot higher-pitched and more panicky than I'd wanted now that I had Susan's body.

“Don't tell me this is permanent?” I asked shakily.

“No, of course not,” answered Susan. “At least I don't think so. As far as my understanding goes, you can cross out any wish and undo its effects. Beside which, you could probably just write in a new wish and change yourself into something else if you want. Maybe we should experiment a bit more with the notebook and try to get a better grasp of how the magic works.”

“I don't want to stay in your body for another second!” I wailed. “Cross it out, cross it out, cross it out! Change us back to normal!”

I felt so embarrassed standing there in the garage in my sister's body, wearing her skimpy clothes, and talking with her voice.

“Easy, easy – settle down 'sis,'” laughed Susan.

What does she do?

You have the following choices:

*Pen*
1. She starts crossing out wishes.

2. She starts writing something new in the notebook.

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
