Chapter #5Shrinking Side Effect by: Haro-Haze   James Diamond was alone in apartment 2J one day playing video games on their flat screen TV when he suddenly heard a knock on the door, rushing to answer it in the hopes that it was the product he had been waiting for.
"Hello, I'm looking for a James Diamond." a rather cute delivery girl smiled, holding a package nearly as big as a shoe box in front of her chest. She looked rather nervous as she placed a clipboard on top of the box, giving James the impression that she hadn't had her job for very long.
"Well it must be your lucky day, here I am." he announced, leaning up against the wall in the hopes that he could use his charm to ask her out.
"Great, can I get your signature here?" She asked, handing James a pen.
"Only if you give me your phone number here?" James replied, almost immediately taking a piece of scrap paper from his back pocket and handing it to her. He always kept a piece of paper on his person for situations just like this, flashing a smile as she looked up at him.
"Sure, you're pretty cute." the young girl admitted, trying not to seem to eager as she scribbled down a number (555-7849) and her name on top as 'Sally'. Meanwhile James signed his name and took the box from the blonde delivery girl and placing it a counter nearby.
"So what did you order?" She asked, handing him the slip of paper with her name and number on it.
"Oh, just the new Cuda man spray. they haven't even started selling it in LA yet so I had it delivered overnight from the factory." James admitted, showing his addiction to follow the latest trend and focus on his looks.
Sally looked at him concerned "Be careful with that stuff. I've heard it has a lot of weird side effects, their always different for each can so you never know what might happen." giving James her fare warning before walking away.
"Please, I can deal with a little itchy skin or whatever side effects this might have." James smiled, as he closed the door and opened his box.
James then took the spray and walked to the center of the room, holding his finger down on the nozzle as he spray his arms and legs. He considered taking a stroll passed The Palm Woods pool at one point before, maybe get some more girls numbers for a multitude of dates down the line.
Next thing he knew as he was spraying near his neck James accidentally inhaled the product through his nose, forcing him to cough for a few moments as he walked around the room searching for something to support his weight. He quickly dropped the can and before he even knew was was going on passed out as a result of a chemical reaction.
---30 minutes later---
A half hour passed before James finally regained consciousness, waking up to unfamiliar surroundings as he rubbed his eyes. When he reopened them he realized what had happened, the delivery girl's prediction had come true. The side effect of the can he ordered had shrunk him.
Worse it that he was standing__________.
1. On top of the exit to the swirly slide, just as Katie enters the apartment to play.
2. In the middle of the floor while Mrs. Knight walks around doing some cleaning.
3. Near the exit, crawling underneath the door and into the hallway to find someone who can help him.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
