Babe and Kenzie had put months into the first ever real world application, one that would affect actually people and objects through the scope of the user's camera lens. The process and mechanics of the app were fairly simply to explain. The user simply simply needed to circle something on their screen and drag the object down to a new size, using the battery life from their phone as a power source for the process.
"Jeez Louise!" Kenzie exclaimed as she finished programming the last bit of coding into the app she and Babe called Game Shrinkers, named after the company they started. The original concept of the app to shrink people however came from Babe after watching a movie where people were shrunk, thinking it would be fun to have miniaturized people as toys.
Babe then told Kenzie about her plans for the app and shortly after the two thirteen year old girls began working together on the mechanics and coding to make it a reality. Luckily with of their big brains working together towards a single goal it only took a matter of three months for it to reach completion.
“What’s going on Kenz?” Babe asked her best friend as she entered the room, only moment after the completion of their latest joint project. Walking up just as Kenzie finished download the ‘Game Shrinkers’ app onto one of their tablets for testing.
“No way, you finished it?” Babe followed up, eager to begin testing it one someone. After three months she could finally find out if shrunken people would make good toys or not.
“Yes, now we just need to take this bad boy out for a spin.” Kenzie smiled, almost sounding excited as she removed the cable from the portable device and opened the app on the screen.
“What tests should we run? What Questions should we ask? And most importantly who should we test this on?” Babe asked, almost unable to hold back her enthusiasm.
“Well, we should test to see how safe being shrunk is and what games shrunken people play better or worse. We should also find an answer as to how small we can make someone using the Game Shrinkers app. Also find out how durable being shrunk could make someone and what it feels like to be shrunk. As for who should be our guinea pig, I was thinking __________.” Kenzie said, using her blunt personality to cool-headedly answer all of Babe’s questions.
1. "I should test it by shrinking you." Kenzie turns to Babe and in a series of swipes circles her friend on the screen and shrinks her down to an inch tall in front of her converse high top sneakers, forcing her too watch as the nerdy girl grew before her eyes to the size of a goddess.
2. "I'll allow you to shrink me for testing reasons only." Kenzie hands the tablet to Babe before taking a seat on a nearby couch, not wanting to be shrunk on the floor in front of Babe's gigantic black boots.
3. "Someone who isn't us." The girls discuss other potential guinea pigs for their app.
