As he closed his locker door, Beck swallowed the urge to sigh at the pouting goth in front of him.
"What is it Jade?" He asked, knowing full well what she wanted.
"Take me back." She glared.
"Are you gonna stop being jealous towards literally everything, allow me to have my own life, talk to whomever I choose, pay for the physical damages you've caused to my property, let me have control over my Netflix account, and stop insulting my family and friends?" Beck asked.
In his mind, really in the mind of any rational person, such concessions would be quite reasonable.
"What are you crazy?" The Goth snapped.
As said. In the mind of any rational person.
"Well then no."
Jade looked like she was about to snap before she noticed Cat. The ditzy redhead scratching at her locker door, much like her namesake, as she always did when she forget her combination.
Jade smirked. The sort of smirk that everyone, but Cat, knew heralded chaos. "Ok fine." The goth waved off. "Just let me have this my little boy toy." She said in an obviously false tone as she plucked one of his hairs before walking off, grabbing Cat's arm and dragging away the redhead. Beck briefly thought he heard the word "Sky" but waved it off as he went to see Tori.
"Still trying to get back together?" The Latina asked.
"Whatever her flaws, she's quite consistent in her method." The Canadian sighed. Honestly there were times where he wasn't sure why he'd ever gotten into such a terrible relationship.
"Do you think she'll get violent?"
"If she does, we'll handle her. Jade West has failed at literally everything she's ever done."
Tori gave him a questioning look, hand on her perfect hip, "Just to be clear, by "we" you mean-"
"Yeah I'm asking you to once again swat Jade aside like a fly."
Tori rolled her eyes and smiled. "Fine. Go wait for me in the practice room, just need to get something." She sighed as she handed him the access pass for the room they'd rented out.
"Where would I be without you?" He smiled as he took the pass.
"In jail for ping pong fraud." She deadpanned before she returned her attention to her locker's contents.
"...Okay." He blinked as he walked off.
Still as blunt as that statement had been, it was the truth. And it was precisely why Beck wasn't worried about Jade in the slightest. If Jade was... well jade, then Tori was a flawless diamond. Of all the possible futures, there wasn't one where Jade West could defeat Tori Vega.
He was jolted from his musings when he entered the practice room and stubbed his foot against an instrument case.
"Ah! Why did that hurt so... much... is that box bigger?" He asked. Looking around, he found that it wasn't just the instrument case that was larger but everything else.
No. Everything else was the same size. He was getting smaller.
Further and further down he dwindled until he came to a halt at roughly an inch tall.
"This would make a great Twilight Zone. In fact, I recall that there were several involving either giant or tiny aliens." He said numbly before he took a calming breath. "Ok. Focus on the positives. You're physically fine and Tori's on her way here. She'll know what to do. And... she's wearing a skirt today."
His spirits lifted, Beck began to think about how this might have occurred. The only person who had it out for him right now was Jade and... oh of course. His mind flashed back to his last conversation with his vindictive ex, figuring out why she'd taken his hair and the "Sky" in her conversation with Cat. So Jade had had Cat fish through one of her old Sky Store products for one that could shrink him based on his DNA.
Honestly he wasn't even surprised that Sky Store could shrink people. They probably had the cure for cancer and the secrets of space/time travel locked away somewhere.
But was Jade so self-centred that she would risk his well-being by shrinking him and indulge a crippling addiction of Cat's? Before he even finished the thought, he mentally slapped himself for asking such an obvious question. This was the woman who'd stabbed a baby seal for licking him. To this day, he was still banned from the aquarium.
As he mused on the many public places that Jade had received lifetime bans from, he heard the door opening. To be safe, he ducked behind the instrument case, praying that Tori would walk in.
1) To Beck's relief, it is Tori. It takes very little time for Beck to have Tori notice him who promises to help him. Sneaking past Jade isn't quite as easy though.
2) To Beck's horror, it's Jade who quickly grabs him, eager to redefine what it means to be the Worst Couple. Though if Beck's lucky, Tori might get suspicious of Cat and Jade's behaviour and try to save him.
3) To Beck's surprise, it's Trina. Still, not the worst scenario. Trina was always very well-endowed and her assets are now even bigger at Beck's size.
