Her breath hissed through her teeth. "But, you're not going to like it." she sighs.
"Well, if it keeps me alive, I have to testify... I'll testify." you confess with resignation. "I didn't mean to walk through that door, but I did... and I have my civic duty to perform." You mourn the loss of this holiday. A trip to New Vegas being a massive expense, for most it's a once in a lifetime experience.
"We have a clone body for you to wear, until your testimony is needed." Officer Close still holding something back.
You nod along, unsure how much worse your holiday can get.
"Given our location, our resources are limited... and focused." she starts. "I don't care how I'll look, I'll endure it."
Officer Close, shakes her head, "No... no, you don't understand. Our only available body is a gynoid. You'll look like a resident, a female resident... someone who works here."

You finally manage to break your stunned silence. "You can't be serious!"
Her silence tells a thousand truths. "You're joking right... right?" you plead, already knowing the answer. The slow, slight shake of head, is all the answer, you don't need. Your own neck weakening, as your head dips to the floor defeated.
"The sooner we get you transferred to that body, the sooner we can get your body safe and secure."
You've never been digitally transferred before, it's usually well beyond your means. She puts her arm around you, and walks you from the cell.
"You'll have a whole history, new name and so forth." She smiles weakly, failing to look encouraging, "Naturally, you'll not need to work. Just taking some time off, however long is needed until you can testify."
Locking eyes, she holds your gaze, until you nod too. "If you allow yourself to relax... You might even enjoy it." She tells you.
