This choice: Floatzel & Vaporeon - Epilogue • Go Back...Chapter #3Continuing on..."Paying a 'Friendly' Visit" by: Iamnoone (This was the last chapter posted by me before the story vanished into thin air. Sadly I did not save the rest of the storyline before it was gone, but, I'll remember what happened before. Mostly.)
Floatzel decided that he would have to bring the S.S. Moomil to port himself. Good weather or not, according to Lugia a storm that would start the cycle of gluttony once more would come. He had to act fast. Two hours before midnight, he contacted the steward on board once more.
"Psst. You still awake?" Floatzel whispered.
"Yes, Mister Floatzel. What is the matter?"
"Could you...call off the repairs for a couple of hours?"
"We're halfway done. Is there a particular reason?"
"You would not believe me, but there's a storm coming. And it won't be pretty."
"The weather forecast says it's all clear. What are you talking about?"
"Like I said you would not believe me. You all need to be safe on land, and I mean it. No one should be on board me until next morning."
"B-but, we have a schedule to keep!" the steward stood up from his seat, prancing around the control room.
"Please, you can do it. I beg you. Also make sure the people at the pier get to the city, and not linger around there." Floatzel pleaded.
"...Roger." The steward went silent, as he began to make arrangements to have everyone evacuate the ship.
True to his word, the crew members were soon disembarking the S.S. Inflatable in an orderly manner, and dispersing into the city via buses and other vehicles. It took a good thirty minutes before they were all gone, as Floatzel watched them exit the gangplank and in turn boarding other land transport.
The steward was the last to leave, and with a hand to his headset, he spoke to Floatzel once more. "No one is on board you right now. I hope you know what you are doing."
"Yes, I'll see you all in the morning." Floatzel replied, watching the gangplank retract itself back into his structures. "Time to leave..."
"Wait, where are you going?!" Shouted the steward. "Be honest with me."
"I...I'm going to pay the S.S. Moomil a visit. Guide it back safely to port." Floatzel said.
"You can't just make her turn back! There isn't enough reason for her to cancel the test voyage-"
"I'm sorry." mumbled Floatzel, as he spun his tails as fast as he could, propelling him out of the port of Snowpoint City, and in turn cutting off communications with the steward. "I need to go faster if I'm going to make it."
Two hours later...
"This is the way to Slateport, I believe. I hope I'm not lost...Oh wait, there it is!" Floatzel exclaimed, as he spotted the black-white-pink blob ahead of him. The S.s. Moomil had departed, and was quite a distance off the port.
Thankfully, the Miltank was starting out slow, and as such the obese river otter was able to encounter her just making her way out for the test run. He spun his tails once more, closing the distance between him and the Milk Cow Pokemon.
"Geez, I don't know what were they thinking, making me try and complete this run without the aid of an engine." The Miltank fumed, as she continously spun her flabby tail and kicked her massive rear legs, to push herself forward across the sea. "I mean, it's good to be able to move about again, but at this rate it's miserable. It's not like I've got a pair of tails that scales well with my bulk anyways!"
Little did she know that the very thing that she was made to compete with would soon appear right before her eyes, as she saw the S.S. Inflatable appear in the corner of her eye, growing larger as he quickly closed in on her.
"Holy cow, what is that- Wait, it must be that Floatzel! No one else so far has been able to make the mark to be a Pokemon cruise ship, and I just barely made the grade with my weight and water mobility! What is he doing here though? I thought he was being repaired at Snowpoint." The Miltank spoke to herself.
"Huff, huff...Finally, there you are. You must be the S.S. Moomil. I'm Floaty the Floatzel, also known as the S.S. Inflatable." Floatzel paused to catch his breath as he stopped paddling, allowing himself to drift close to Miltank, massively dwarfing her when compared side by side.
"Whoa there, you scared me! What if you crashed right into me, huh?" said the angry Miltank, as she struggled to paddle forwards against the sudden waves when Floatzel swam next to her, but she stopped for a while to let the water be calm again.
"Don't worry about that. Listen, you need to turn back."
"You're not making any sense." the Miltank said, as the crew members aboard her turned to look at the massive orange flab of the S.S. Inflatable block their starboard view. "I've made it out this far, and you want me to swim back now?! Not gonna happen."
"There's no time to argue with her, she won't agree to swim back to port. Not that she'll be fast enough, the storm'll be here before she's even quarter the way there!" Floatzel panicked, a sudden stiff breeze ruffling his fur, as he brought his tails around to wrap about the S.S. Moomil.
"H-hey, what do you think you're doing?! Put me down this instant!" yelled the Miltank as she was ousted from the sea, while flailing her stubby limbs about. The remaining water dripped from her belly fur and massive udders, as she was lifted above the water by the massive river otter before her. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
