The next day

"Rise and shine, Emma!"

I groggily opened my eyes to the sight of my mother. "Huh?"

When I heard my voice, I suddenly remembered the events of yesterday.

"Get ready for school! You're going to have a great first day of second grade!" exclaimed mom.

I slid out of bed. "Take a quick shower while I pick out your outfit!" said mom, who I remembered was actually Maddy.

Reluctantly, I walked to the bathroom and turned the shower on. I got undressed and finally got a good look at my new, tiny body. I couldn't have been taller than four feet, at the very maximum. I got into the shower and washed off, becoming more familiar with Emma's body than I had ever hoped to be. I got out and dried off. Wrapping myself in a towel, I walked back to Emma's room to find what outfit awaited me.
